I'm a 50 year old single parent. I left my job of 17 years to take care of my sick mother in 2000. My mother passed in 2002, which left me in a bind with no job and no money. So, I took the first job I could find, IRS seasonal. I worked from February to June. Got caught up on my bills and then June 2002 came, was not eligible for unemployment until October for some reason and looked everyday from sun up to sun down for a full-time all year round job to no avail. Applied for everything at DFACS, to no avail. Was facing foreclosure and filed bankruptcy to save my mothers' home. January 2003 filed my income taxes and started back to work in February. Worked through June in the street again, worked temp, could not find a full-time job. January 2004 filed my income taxes and started back to work in February. Worked through June in the street again, now have two children in college. I refused to go back in 2005 so I had previously applied with the school system as a teachers' assistance. The job came through, but I was considered part-time hourly. Which meant, no benefits, no pay for planning days or holidays. It took everything I made to make ends meet. Well, this year they told me they have a full staff and low attendance and won't be needing me. I have tried everything I can think of trying, agencies, classifieds jobs, job fairs, DFACS, loans, refinacing(Bankruptcy, mortgage would be outrageous) unemployment and faxing resumes daily. They wanted until it was almost time to go back to school when they told me. I am behind on my mortgage, car, lights and gas. Please help me, I am desperate, I don't know what I would do if I lost my parents home.  I don't think I could live anywhere else. My children are in college. HELP, HELP, HELP, and Pray for me please.
